The process

A commission, from first search to finished panel.

The online configurator captures the location and the personalization. Everything after that is done by a person.

Start your map
  1. 1

    Design it online

Place, wood, size, personalization — guided step by step.

  2. 2

    Approve your proof

A designer emails final artwork. Nothing is engraved before you say yes.

  3. 3

    It arrives ready to hang

Engraved, hand-finished and packed in Canada.

Phase one

You design it online

Ten guided minutes in the configurator. Nothing is final and nothing is charged until you are happy.

Engraved topographic linework close up
  1. Step 01 · About 5 minutes

    You set the place

Search a city, address, property or course, then set the crop, zoom and rotation. That view becomes the basis of the artwork.

  2. Step 02 · About 2 minutes

    You choose the piece

Maple or walnut. Panel, framed or layered. Three sizes up to 24 × 24 in, with optional solid wood framing.

  3. Step 03 · About 3 minutes

    You personalize it

Titles, subtitles, dates, coordinates and markers. Golf and property commissions add their own detail fields.

Phase two

We take it from there

A designer draws, proofs and engraves your piece by hand. You approve the artwork before any wood is cut.

The Legacy Maps workshop
  1. Step 04 · Studio step

    A designer prepares the artwork

Your configuration is redrawn for engraving: line weights adjusted, labels set, references reviewed. Your designer proof is prepared after your order is reviewed.

  2. Step 05 · Your approval

    You approve the proof

Revision rounds included with each order are set by the studio and confirmed on your proof email.

  3. Step 06 · Studio step

    We engrave and finish

The panel is engraved, hand-finished, inspected and packed. Production estimate is confirmed with your artwork proof.

Create Your Map

Family owned, made in Canada

A family studio creating custom heirloom maps of the places that matter most.

What began as a shared passion for craftsmanship, design, and meaningful spaces became a way for our family to turn land, homes, ranches, lakes, cottages, and properties into lasting works of art. Every piece is custom designed from scratch by our team using detailed cartography, layered textures, and carefully refined engraving techniques to create maps that feel timeless and deeply personal.

We believe meaningful places deserve more than generic décor. Our work is designed to capture the character, story, and emotional connection behind a property, whether it is a family ranch passed through generations, a first home, a favorite lake, or land that shaped a family's history.

Each map is thoughtfully crafted through a highly collaborative design process and made to order with an obsessive attention to detail, materials, and presentation. No templates. No mass production. Every piece is commissioned and individually created for the customer it belongs to.
